Great game, but a buggy IOS port.
Tue Jul 27 2021 Pale CentaurBugs aside, the gameplay is challenging (in a good way), the art style is unique and looks great, the world itself is interesting and fun to explore, and you can easily sink lots of time into it. However, this IOS port has some bugs that can be frustrating.
For instance, the game allows you to customize some aspects of your world (what season you start in, scarcity of supplies, etc) but if you actually attempt to load a world with custom settings, the game will crash immediately, every time.
That’s just one example. The audio can crash at times, there are certain actions in the game/ buttons that don’t work whatsoever, etc. If you look up “Don’t starve IOS bugs” you’ll find forum posts on various websites detailing them. Overall they can be annoying, but none of them are game breaking, and I’d still recommend downloading it.

Sun Aug 28 2022 Jess7ca1001This game is literally so fun. Each character has special abilities and cool styles and weird traits overall good and smooth. And it requires no wifi to play!! Anyhow when I first joined the game it was so cool very smooth and everything but as I created my first world it gave me an option to equip reign of giants. Which I didn’t because I wanted to see the classic before I tried reign of giants. Time went on and I got curious so one day I equipped it. Its great and all even better with so much more fun options in the game (as there is already a lot in the classic) and still very smooth but.. theres a problem I cant figure out. Gold. You need it to build a science machine to unlock basically everything. I cant find any. Where there would usually be gold in the boulders/rocks there is no longer gold. I dont really know any other way other than maybe loot graves and ect, but even after trying research on this I cant find anything. Kinda ridiculous to have to research something like that but even if I did find out the anwer, is there a way to unequip reign of giants?? Just curious in case I like the classic better.

Character: Quint ( I’m sorry it doesn’t have a W)
Is a werewolf in secret can befriend hounds starts with three or less hound teeth. In werewolf state can see in the dark maybe? Or maybe comfy with the dark? But here is his story:
Growing up, Quint was bullied and made fun of for his thought that ghosts, vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures were real. So he went out to live in the woods. As he explored the woods, he heard strange sounds one day. He walked towards it, then saw a radio. It was nighttime, and then he heard growling. He was bitten by a mysterious monster, and then he is pulled through a portal to the constant. As he enters the constant, the clouds disperse, the moon is full, and he becomes a werewolf. He looks at himself, and is afraid. He tries to run from himself, and ends up standing in front of a hound mound. The hounds greet him and try to be with Quint. Eventually, he rests with them.
I hope you can add this! If not that’s fine but it took me a while to think of this! Please respond as soon as possible! Thanks Klei!
Issue on saving
Mon Jul 21 2025 lil96$My only issue is when im playing an i save the game. When im come back to start it up it dont save the days i had. Ive been on day 10 for a week. I close out correctly, i save & quit. I get to the main menu an close the app. I open the game later on an its back to day 10 again. So im closed the game uninstalled an reinstalled an its still causing me an issue. If im about to pay for this app so i can have in my phone its going to be a waste of money since its not correctly saving my days in the game. Ive gone up to day 21 saved & quit closed app once its on the main menu. Then signed in to be stuck at day 10 again. Its ridiculous. Its not going to be worth paying 6.99 for the game. Im doing the 1 month free trial an for it not to correctly save my days! Its ridiculous. Possibly not worth the money since its having an issue!!! I really love this game i played it in my ps4 now that it was stolen i downloaded it to my phone an its been nothing but issues. Possibly wont be worth spending money for it not to save my days correctly. Thanks. If any other advice to do to fix this issue then please share how to do that. Other wise well i ain’t paying for it.

Thanks for takin the time to read or respond Edit:please add sandbox mode which unlocks each crafting recipe and tab and you can craft it immediately while tapping the item or items needed will give that to you but only one and another will give one more and then three and so on and so fourth while giving another tab called summons which will spawn in the creature in question even wear-pigs and the black bunny men and each character has every craft recipe even character exclusive ones and also a tab called foods which has every food even jerky and crockpot recipes also how did you get creative mode???

The game can be (REALLY) tricky at times but still, a very fun game that I recommend! So here’s the update idea I have (because I don’t know were else to suggest it lol): If you drop a peace of food, A timer could appear and count down to five. If someone doesn’t pick it up in time a monster will appear and eat you and say, “Five second rule,” That’s it, pretty simple idea that i would love to see in the game (I doubt it, but it at least feels better to talk about my ideas😅). Also, some game tips: 1. Eating and cooking mandrakes will skip ahead one day! 2. If you play as Webber, Pigs is will automatically attack you (sine you’re basically a spider) Thats it, just two tips lol. Well alright… that’s it! Have a good day/night and have fun playing if you decide to download the game 🤗

Tue Apr 13 2021 tigercaitI am delighted to see this game getting Arcade attention, since I love it on every platform I own it on (PC, iOS, PS4). Yes, I already own the iOS version of this, but hey, five more save game slots since this counts as a different app!
Edit: This is an updated version and NOT identical to the purchasable iOS pocket edition version! Hopefully with this Arcade push and the new NewHome version coming some of the longstanding iOS bugs will finally be fixed...? In particular, I get very frustrated by the on-screen joystick problem where it doesn't block the tap action on the screen behind the joystick control, which makes movement impossible when, eg, holding a torch near trees. (Tip for new players: just don't enable the joystick. It will only lead to tragic nighttime forest death. Use the tap-to-move default instead, and it helps to have a stylus for accurate movement.)
LOVE IT but a few…issues
Thu Aug 12 2021 marryhonSo the reason I rated it four stars was because when I tried to use the Bundling wrap it crashed my game and I have don’t starve together and you can go out on the don’t don’t stave together BUT in regular don’t starve from what I’ve seen you can’t go out on water so that’s the reason that I read it four stars and instead of five but I really do love the game .! By the way there are other this wrong and some lag when I saves the game please fix it.. But I enjoy the game so much.. especially when I’m play don’t starve together with my mom and other people.. I can’t get don’t starve together on my Xbox because of the age restriction.. it’s not a really violent game so lower it on the Xbox.. There are 5 year old out there playing gta5 … and I’m 11 so fix the age restriction on Xbox thank you very much. MWAH

New weapon suggestion

mainly because feathers only have a %50 drop chance when birds die and reeds are in one biome and are not relocatable so it’s hard to get blow darts it would be nice to have cheap ranged weapons a bow should be crafted at a science machine and cost 2rope 5twigs and 1grass maybe there could be a armor slot for amulets and quivers which should be crafted with 3 pig skin and 3 rope and could give you 2 storage which can only hold arrows which should be craft with 2 sticks 1 rope and 2 flint to get 5 arrows. Maybe even they can have some variety’s like thulecite , sleep , poison (maybe with red caps) and fire. So that’s my suggestion for a good weapon
Also, why does it show Wagstaff? He cannot be played in game despite the video

Tue Jan 25 2022 jacob1cookieHi don’t starve is a amazing game! Because you get to play in a open world and look around to find resources. But you might get hungry so you got to eat too. Also you need to avoid all the monsters to not get killed. And don’t go insane because monsters will start to kill you but you can’t start getting resources all day it has a day and night cycle. But this game does have a few bugs if you harvest a berry bush that is fully grown then it starts to glitch out. When you go in a cave sometimes your players will glitch for no reason that one time it happened it killed me for no reason the other than that this game is super fun I play it almost every day!!!
